The Echo Design Group Challenges Today's Young Designers

Echo's On-Line Contest Offers The Ultimate Design Opportunity

(New York - July 2001) The Echo Design Group will host an on-line design contest, giving young artists of the world a unique and challenging design opportunity. Featured on the new Echo Website, www.echodesign.com, the contest offers students and young designers the chance to have their work featured on an Echo scarf. Contestants will be able to create their own masterpiece using any subject, pattern, color or style suitable for either a square or oblong scarf. In November, Echo's staff of talented designers will choose a winning design that will be marketed as part of the Echo scarf line. The design will be produced on a beautiful silk scarf and delivered to the contestant along with a $1000.00 prize.

"We are very excited about offering such an open, creative outlet for young designers," says Steven Roberts, Co-President of The Echo Design Group. "This contest allows participants the chance to express their individual style. Our Echo design team will evaluate each entry based on creativity, innovation, style and of course, originality. The Echo Design Group is renowned for its expertise in print, pattern and design and we are proud to provide an imaginative opportunity for young talent in the industry."

Launched in April, www.echodesign.com propels The Echo Design Group to the next level of marketing sophistication via an interactive medium, showcasing the company's design expertise and reinforcing consumer loyalty to the Echo brand. It features an exhaustive design database, consumer tips, gift guide, contests, and latest company news. The Design Contest is an original way to celebrate the Echo customer and the launch of the new site all in one.

Additionally, The Echo Design Group holds the licenses for specialized fashion accessories for Polo, Ralph Lauren, Lauren, Laura Ashley, Save the Children, The Smithsonian Institution, and The Museum of Natural History. The Echo Design Group also creates customized products for many of the country's leading museums, corporations and retailers.
