The Echo Design Group Accessories for You and Your Home

(New York, NY - February 6, 2006) The Echo Design Group continues to grow as a leading global design house, revolutionizing fashion accessories for over eighty years and designing home decorative products for the past fifteen. Echo is one of the oldest and most respected family-run businesses in the fashion industry. They are continuously creating new products, innovating new ideas, working with exciting companies and expanding into new markets.

The history of Echo is as multi-faceted as the many colors, fabrics, patterns and prints found in its collections. Edgar C. Hyman and his wife, Theresa, founded Echo on their wedding day, September 27, 1923. They built Echo on their firm personal dedication to creativity, service and quality. Eight decades later, Edgar’s daughter, Dorothy Roberts as Chairman, is at the helm and the third generation, Steven Roberts as CEO, Lynn Roberts as Vice President of Advertising and Public Relations, and Meg Roberts as Senior Home Designer, carry on Edgar’s founding principles.

Today, Echo designs, markets and merchandises scarves, wraps, cold weather products, gloves, rainwear, beachwear, and handbags under its own brand. It also designs and markets Monsac handbags and small leathergoods. These products can be found in many of the most respected department and specialty stores in North America. In fall 2003, Echo opened its first U.S. in-store shop at Marshall Field’s State Street store in Chicago. Since then, Echo has expanded this concept to other Marshall Field’s doors, as well as with other key retailers. In addition, Echo brand products can be found overseas, from Harrods in London to Isetan in Tokyo. Echo also designs extensive collections through private label for major retailers, prominent museums and corporations. Echo’s prestigious list of licensing partners in fashion accessories includes Ralph Lauren, Lauren, Polo and Chaps.

Echo HOME designed its first collection in 1990 and has created exciting and fresh designs that are at the forefront of the home industry. Echo currently licenses a complete line of wallpaper, decorative fabric and trim, bedding, paper products, bath ensembles, table linens and kitchen accessories with leading companies including FSC Wallcoverings, Kravet Fabrics, Revman International, C. R. Gibson, Creative Bath Products and Elrene Home Fashions.

Since 1923, Echo has created beautiful and versatile products – exquisitely detailed and carefully crafted. As Echo moves into the future, they meet ongoing challenges via growth, expansion and an old-fashioned commitment to its customer.
